Council (Dsg) and Time Inc. (NYSE:TIME) today announced more than 20
global business and design leaders who will participate in 2018
Brainstorm Design, scheduled to occur during Singapore Design Week on
March 6-8, 2018. Brainstorm Design is supported by the Singapore
Economic Development Board (EDB). Participants will share insights and
strategies for design innovation at the event.

Speakers announced today include two Singapore based representatives: Changi Airport Group CEO Lee Seow Hiang and UBS Wealth Management Chief Digital Officer, APAC Ketan Semani and prominent thought leaders from across Asia, Europe and the United States, including: Danish Design Centre CEO Christian Bason; author John Cary; FJORD Chief Client Officer Mark Curtis; Google VP of Material Design Matías Duarte; Klein-Dytham Architecture and PechaKucha Co-founder Mark Dytham; IBM General Manager, Design Phil Gilbert; Autodesk VP of Experience Design Maria Giudice; Nippon Design Center President Kenya Hara; IDEO Partner and Executive Managing Director, Asia Charles Hayes; Netyear President and CEO Fujiyo Ishiguro; McKinsey Partner and CEO LUNAR Design Derrick Kiker; University of Virginia Darden School of Business Professor Jeanne Liedtka; Cuusoo Designer and Founder Kohei Nishiyama; Johnson & Johnson Chief Design Officer Ernesto Quinteros; Google VP of Hardware Design Ivy Ross; SAMURAI Founder and Creative Director Kashiwa Sato; Super Potato Vice President Norihiko Shinya; Foundation Capital Partner Steve Vassallo; Frog CEO Harry West; and SAP Chief Design Officer Sam Yen.
Giudice, Kiker, Lee, Semani and Yen are also names that have been added to the event’s Global Advisory Council, for which members give counsel and recommend content for Brainstorm Design 2018.
They join previously announced speakers and Brainstorm Design Global Advisory Council members designer Tom Dixon, who also serves as the event’s Creative Director; designer Thomas Heatherwick; Dsg Executive Director Agnes Kwek; PepsiCo Chief Design Officer Mauro Porcini; artist and innovator Daan Roosegaarde; architect Ole Scheeren; and architect and designer Patricia Urquiola.
Additional speakers and a full agenda will be announced in the coming months.
Led by the editorial teams of TIME, FORTUNE and WALLPAPER*, Brainstorm Design will feature presentations and panel discussions on how design can help to build businesses, improve sustainability, engage communities and enrich people’s lives. Brainstorm Design is expected to attract additional leading international design talents, as well as C-suite executives, including chief design officers, design practitioners, Fortune 500 senior executives, government leaders, decision makers in private and public sectors, and advocates of design thinking.
