KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 30 (Bernama) -- Eastspring Investments Bhd today announced the gross income distribution of 1.08 sen a unit for Eastspring Investments Asian High Yield Bond MY Fund.
The distribution rates for US dollar and Australian dollar are 1.02 sen and 1.5 sen, respectively.
The fund is a wholesale feeder fund which aims to maximise income and capital appreciation by investing in the Eastspring Investments - Asian High Yield Bond Fund, which invests primarily in Asian high yield bonds.
In a statement today, Eastspring said the Asian high yield bond market had delivered decent returns.
"Positive carry from Asian high yield bonds continues to attract yield-hungry investors, and improvements in economic growth across developing and emerging markets this year, as well as fading concerns over a hard landing in China were also positive contributors to investor sentiment," it said.
High yield sovereign bonds were the best performers over the year-to-date period, led by Mongolia and Sri Lanka.
While, Indonesian high yield corporates led the charge outside the high yield sovereign sector and Chinese high yield industrials have also chalked up decent returns over the year-to-date period.
