TripleBlind’s Asia Pacific expansion accelerates data collaboration opportunities among enterprises

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 21 -- TripleBlind, creator of a rapid, efficient and cost effective data privacy and clean room solution, has announced the availability of its solution for enterprises operating throughout much of South Asia and Australia.

Capco names James Arnett APAC Head

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 21 -- Capco, the global management and technology consultancy, has named James Arnett as Managing Partner for the APAC region with responsibility for managing the firm’s business across Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia.

JEMINCARE INITIATES PHASE I CLINICAL TRIAL OF ANTI-SARS-COV-2 NEUTRALIZING ANTIBODY JMB2002

On January 15, Jemincare Group, a Chinese pharmaceutical company, announced that it has initiated the phase I clinical trial of anti-SARS-CoV-2 neutralizing antibody (JMB2002).

Preclinical studies of JMB2002 including pharmacology and toxicity were carried out systemically. The drug metabolism, safety and efficacy were well performed. In early studies, it was found that JMB2002 could effectively neutralize live virus infection of Vero E6 cells. What's more, JMB2002 showed potent binding and blocking activities to the spike glycoproteins of mutant viruses.

Sweet settlement: PureCircle, Almendra resolve US patent litigation

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 20 -- Producer and innovator of great-tasting stevia sweeteners and flavour modifiers, PureCircle and Almendra have reached an amicable settlement in a patent dispute in the United States (US) relating to Almendra’s Steviarome® products and use thereof.

As of Dec 31, last year, PureCircle and Almendra, a privately-held natural sweetener and flavour ingredients company, voluntarily resolved the litigation with all claims and counter-claims subsequently being dismissed.

As part of the settlement, Almendra has signed a licence agreement with PureCircle, which allows Almendra to continue selling its Steviarome® flavour ingredients worldwide.

All other terms of the agreement remain confidential, according to a statement.

Madison Realty Capital provides US$53 million financing for Brooklyn's multifamily development

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 20 -- Madison Realty Capital, a New York City-based real estate private equity firm, has provided US$53 million in construction financing to Heritage Equity Partners, led by Toby Moskovits and Michael Lichtenstein. (US$1 = RM4.046)

According to a statement, this is for a 150-unit ground-up multifamily development located at 875 4th Avenue between 32nd and 33rd Streets, in ‘South Park Slope’, also known as the Sunset Park neighbourhood of Brooklyn, NY.

The loan features a LIBOR-based floating rate and was arranged by Meridian Capital Group and its Director Elliot Kunstlinger, who has a working relationship with both Heritage Equity Partners and Madison Realty Capital.

The project is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2022. Heritage Development, a vertically integrated development and management firm with focus on residential, commercial, and hospitality projects, serves as general contractor for the project.

The property will span approximately 140,000 square feet and include a total of 150 studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units.
