KUALA LUMPUR, May 10 -- BRANDSTARS Selection Committee has selected Korea’s best industrial brands at the 2021 Korea Representative Brand.
The event was organised to not only provide product information to consumers at home and abroad for their rational choices, but also enhance the corporate brand value of related companies.
Korean brands are categorised into small, medium, and large enterprises and, through comprehensive media and consumer assessment followed by final expert evaluation, Korea’s representative brands are announced for each industry.
By industry, Samsung Electronics’ Samsung Galaxy (smartphone), Hyundai Motor’s Genesis (car), LG Electronics’ Whisen (air conditioner) and Shinsegae Department Store (shopping) were chosen, among others.
BTS (K-pop group) was chosen in the category of entertainment.
In the field of K-beauty, Amorepacific's illiyoon (dermacosmetics) and Olive Young (beauty multi-shop) were among the selected.
On the other hand, the best K-food brands selected include Paris Baguette (bakery), bibigo (ready-to-eat food), Binggrae Banana Flavored Milk (milk) and Buldakbokkeum-myeon (spicy ramen).
LF HAZZYS (casual wear) and FILA (sportswear) were selected in the category of K-fashion while ASAN Medical Center (medical check-up) and CheongKwanJang (red ginseng) were chosen in the healthcare category.
For tourism, Jeju (tourism city) and Seoul Kwangjang Market (culinary tourism) were selected.
“Despite the prolonged COVID-19 crisis, Korean brands with the world’s best technological power, design competencies, and safety are growing into global brands,” said a member of the BRANDSTARS Selection Committee in a statement.
“Our goal is to assist in consumers’ rational choices by announcing the 2021 Korea Representative Brand through media in Korea, China, and Southeast Asian countries.”
