KUALA LUMPUR, May 4 (Bernama) -- Zenas BioPharma (Zenas), a cross-border (China-USA based) biopharmaceutical company has appointed Hua Mu, MD, Ph.D. as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Acting Chief Medical Officer (CMO).
Based on a statement, Dr Hua joins Zenas after co-founding Overland Pharmaceuticals and serving as Interim CEO and CMO, while also serving as Venture Partner at Hillhouse Capital.
Having received his Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley, Dr Hua completed post-doctorate training at University of California at San Francisco School of Medicine and University of Washington School of Medicine.
In the same statement, Zenas also announced the appointment of Joe Farmer as Chief Business and Administrative Officer.
He is an accomplished biopharma executive with approximately 25 years of transactional and operational experience working with emerging biotechnology companies at all stages of development, from discovery through commercialisation.
Prior to joining Zenas, he served as Chief Operating Officer at Xilio Therapeutics.
Founder and Executive Chairman, Lonnie Moulder said with both appointments, Zenas had further strengthened its executive leadership team.
