Recognising that the Government’s agenda for economic recovery is rooted in maintaining stability, protecting the people's welfare, and securing livelihoods, TalentCorp stands ready to provide support through our role as the focal point in Malaysia’s talent landscape.
In line with the Government’s focus to prioritise employment of our local workforce, our objectives will continue to be centred around providing effective solutions to talent unemployment in Malaysia. Examples of our work in this area include our Critical Occupations List (COL) developed together with the Institute for Labour Market Information and Analysis (ILMIA) and the World Bank; the Nurturing EXpert Talent (NEXT) national talent analytics platform; and the Structured Internship Programme (SIP) and Young Employable Students (YES!) framework which are both implemented with support by the Ministry of Human Resources (MOHR) and the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE).
We also remain committed to strengthening and leveraging our strategic partnerships with the Government, industry, academia, talent, and other stakeholders to help us develop interventions that ensure Malaysia's workers are supported to achieve their full potential throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.
These steps, together with TalentCorp’s other efforts, are consistent with our role as the agency under MOHR mandated to attract, nurture and retain talent and expertise for Malaysia's economic growth.
