KUALA LUMPUR, April 19 (Bernama) -- With a haul of 44.2 kilogrammes of squid, Kelab AmBank Group’s (KAG) Gerak Gempur team emerged victorious in the team event at the Squid Jigging Carnival 2019 in Marang, Terengganu from April 13 to 14.
KAG’s K-Swab team won second place while third place went to the VVIP team. In the Longest Squid category, the title went to Sahfudin Mohd Atan with a squid length of 43.7 centimetres.
All prizes were given out by KAG president, who is also the executive vice president, Corporate Communications and Marketing of AmBank Group, Syed Anuar Syed Ali.
Syed Anuar said 200 participants comprising 136 men and 64 women took part in the 6th edition of the event which was open to all AmBank Group staff.
"The total catch was 160.4 kg. No doubt, this is one of our most popular activities and the response is overwhelming as we can see from the higher number of participants this time," he said.
