Mokaya Penetrates Local Supermarket Chains

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 2 (Bernama) -- Malaysia's Mokaya brand of fine premium and luxury chocolates will be available at Japanese-owned supermarket chains in the country by the end of the year or early next year, says its founder.

"Mokaya's chocolate products are already available in well-known supermarkets and hypermarket chains outside Kuala Lumpur, and among Mokaya products are eight premium flavoured chocolates, dark chocolate and chocolate bars," Rahul Agarwal told Bernama.

Mokaya's cacao beans, sourced from Madagascar, have a distinctive flavour with hints of aromatic fruits, nuts and mint.

The Mokaya brand was conceived from Rahul's extensive travels and passion for chocolates which have inspired him to explore chocolate developed by small, local chocolatiers as well as global mainstream companies.

His ultimate aim was to create a Malaysian-made chocolate with the finest cacao beans and ingredients able to compete with the finest in the world.
