Ultraviolette Automotive to accelerate adoption of electric vehicles in India



KUALA LUMPUR, June 4 (Bernama) -- Ultraviolette Automotive Pvt Ltd, an innovator in sustainable mobility and energy infrastructure, is developing India´s first ecosystem of high-performance electric motorcycles and future-ready energy infrastructure.

In a statement, the company said the development aimed to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles (EV) across India.

It is currently building a motorcycle with progressive design and energy-efficient technology. This motorcycle will outperform the traditional ICE motorcycles in the 200-250 CC segment.

Along with this, Ultraviolette Automotive is also setting up a first-of-its-kind energy infrastructure that will ensure availability of energy-on-the-go.

Its founder and chief executive officer, Narayan Subramaniam said: "At Ultraviolette, we are working on creating an unmatched experience and a robust EV ecosystem that will surpass traditional ICE motorcycles in every aspect including design, performance and durability. " Meanwhile, its founder and chief technology officer, Niraj Rajmohan said the company was in conversations with global strategic partners and investors to ramp up manufacturing and charging infrastructure. The motorcycle and energy infrastructure will be unveiled in the fourth quarter of this year.
