World Economic Forum selects Quintessencelabs as technology pioneer


 
KUALA LUMPUR, June 21 (Bernama) -- QuintessenceLabs - a global leader in the development of commercial quantum-based cybersecurity solutions - is among hundreds of candidates selected as World Economic Forum's technology pioneers.
QuintessenceLabs founder and chief executive officer (CEO), Vikram Sharma said the company aims to harness the power of quantum science to make the strongest data security accessible to enterprises and government agencies to protect today's and future information.
The World Economic Forum selects technology pioneers from early-stage companies around the world involved in the design, development and deployment of new technologies and innovations having a significant impact on business and society.
QuintessenceLabs strengthens data security by integrating advanced quantum technology with best-in-class data protection solutions for organisations to prepare for tomorrow's quantum computing threat to data security, a statement said.
This year, the technology pioneers focus on wide variety of technologies areas including artificial intelligence, big data and internet of things (IoT), biotechnology, blockchain, autonomous vehicles, cyber security, robotics and more.
The technology pioneers were selected by a selection committee of more than 60 academics, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and corporate executives. Past recipients include Airbnb, Google, Mozilla,Spotify, TransferWise, Twitter, Wikimedia and others.
