​KPS POSTS MODERATE REVENUE GROWTH, STEADY PROFIT AMIDST OPERATING CHALLENGES

· PAT grew by 34%, supported by core profits and other income
· COVID lockdowns in China and protracted supply chain challenges are expected to continue to pose headwinds for the Group

SHAH ALAM, Malaysia, May 30 (Bernama) -- Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Berhad’s
(“KPS” or “the Company” or “the Group”) (KPS, Bursa: 5843; Bloomberg: KUPS:MK; Reuters: KPSB.KL) reported a 7% growth in revenue to RM329.2 million for the quarter ended 31 March 2022, as compared with RM308.4 million in the corresponding quarter last year. The operating profit recorded a 37% growth to RM33.3 million from RM24.3 million in the corresponding period last year, following which, the Group Profit After Tax (“PAT”) for the quarter increased 34% to RM16.4 million from RM12.2 million in the corresponding quarter in the previous year.
